DeSean Jackson asks for a public apology from Eliot Shorr-Parks for 2014 hit piece
Last week, former Eagle greats DeSean Jackson and LeSean McCoy held a Chip Kelly roast on their new podcast, “25/10 Show,” where they both aired all their grievances towards the former Eagles head coach.
During the episode, Jackson spoke about a 2014 article from NJ.com that painted him as someone with gang affiliations, stemming from his childhood in Los Angeles. The article was written by 94WIP’s very own Eliot Shorr-Parks — who’s since become one of the biggest voices in Eagles discourse. ESP was fairly unknown in 2014, but this article put him on the map. At the time, everyone just ran with the story and used it to justify Chip Kelly flat-out releasing the team’s best wideout.
Fast forward to 2024, it’s pretty obvious that ESP’s claims were very exaggerated. Long story short, DeSean Jackson was friends with a few gang members from LA who were charged with murder in 2011. The story focuses in on that incident and uses it to conclude Jackson has ‘gang connections.’ It even says it in the title: “DeSean Jackson’s gang connections troubling to Eagles.” You can read the full story from ESP here.
Now that Jackson has publicly confronted the ESP article in the latest episode of his podcast, he’s doubling down on it, asking Shorr-Parks for a “sincere, public apology.”
DeSean Jackson issued this Tweet towards ESP on Monday:

This episode aired on May 8, which also happens to be the last day Eliot Shorr-Parks has Tweeted. The typically loud, click-baity Eagles pundit suddenly doesn’t feel like Tweeting. Funny how that works.
To my knowledge, ESP has never been confronted on this issue. He has made appearances on 94WIP since this episode aired, but of course, the hosts never even mentioned this to him.
Chances are, ESP will never talk about this 2014 article publicly — at least not for awhile. He’ll most likely let it die down a bit, maybe another week or two, before jumping back on Twitter. Classic rat move, but what else can you expect from a 94WIP talking head.
