PFF gives Eagles high grades for their offseason thus far
As they seemingly do every offseason, the Philadelphia Eagles dominated free agency and the NFL Draft, snagging multiple impact players without breaking the bank.
Among the notable free agency additions were Saquon Barkley, CJ Gardner-Johnson, Devin White, and Bryce Huff. Through the draft, Howie Roseman completely revamped his secondary adding both Quinyon Mithcell and Cooper DeJean — two guys who should have significant roles from day one.
Now that the offseason is all but over, ProFootballFocus has handed out their grades for each team. To no one’s surprise, the Eagles earned an ‘A’ for their efforts.
PFF on the Eagles offseason:
I don’t know how the Eagles continue to do it.
They lost Kevin Byard and D’Andre Swift this offseason, but Byard wasn’t as impactful as they hoped he would be and they replaced Swift with Saquon Barkley. They also added C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Bryce Huff, Devin White and DeVante Parker. Adding to the significant departures were Fletcher Cox and Jason Kelce retiring.
Then the Eagles dominated the draft again, grabbing Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean to attack their biggest roster need.
Philadelphia spiraled at the end of the 2023 season but has its foot on the gas for 2024.

While all the on-field additions were stellar, we can’t forget the two new coordinators that the Eagles acquired as well — Vic Fangio for the defense and Kellen Moore for the offense. These two, without question, will be upgrades over what the team had last season.
Really, the only legitimate question mark is with Nick Sirianni. His team was downright awful down the stretch in 2023 and for most coaches, it would’ve been a wrap after that. Jeffrey Lurie decided to stick with Sirianni because his resume as a whole is much better than fans would give him credit for. And above all else, it feels like the general consensus among the organization and the fanbase is that last year’s debacle was all due to the poor coaching from Sean Desai, Matt Patricia, and Brian Johnson.
I tend to agree, but we’ll get a definitive answer this upcoming season.
