Eagles 2026 Undrafted Free Agent Class: Deontae Lawson headlines the reported group of eight signings
The draft is over and the Eagles made eight picks. After it wrapped, they reportedly signed eight more undrafted free agents.
While it doesn’t seem too important, this is where rosters get built in the margins. Reed Blankenship was a UDFA. T.J. Edwards was a UDFA. Corey Clement scored a touchdown in the Super Bowl as a UDFA. Point being, the Eagles have a track record of finding real contributors in this pool.
This is what’s been reported. We’ll see if any of these guys actually land.
Eagles Undrafted Free Agent Class 2026:
Deontae Lawson, LB, Alabama (6’3, 224)
The headliner. Three-year starter at Alabama who wore the green dot helmet calling their defense. Tore his ACL late in 2024 and wasn’t the same player in 2025. A couple years ago, Lawson going undrafted would have been unthinkable. Another year removed from the knee, he has a real chance to get his career back on track. If the knee is right, this is a steal.
Dae’Quan Wright, TE, Ole Miss (6’4, 246)
Playmaker. 39 receptions, 635 yards, five touchdowns, and 16.3 yards per catch at Ole Miss. Had catches of 25-plus yards in each of his first five games. Lane Kiffin moved him all over the formation so the versatility is there. Blocking needs work but the receiving ability is legit.
Jaeden Roberts, OG, Alabama (6’5, 333)
“Hulk.” Started at right guard for Bama in 2023 and 2024 before losing time in 2025. Looks like an NFL lineman and carries his size well but the game moved too fast for him at times on tape. Scouts love his coachability and work ethic. The Eagles have thin interior line depth behind Jurgens and Dickerson, both of whom carry injury concerns. Worth a long look.
Kapena Gushiken, CB, Ole Miss (5’10, 189)
Listed as a safety but will likely play slot corner for the Eagles. Ran a 4.33 at Ole Miss’ pro day. Outstanding speed that translates to special teams. Can stay attached in man coverage but lacks ideal size and gives up yards after catch on missed tackles.
Joshua Weru, EDGE, Kenya (6’4, 244)
Another International Pathway Program athlete joining the Eagles alongside seventh-round pick Uar Bernard from Nigeria. Weru dazzled at the HBCU showcase with impressive movement skills for someone at his stage of development. Pure projection. The Eagles are clearly stockpiling freakish international athletes and betting on development.
Rocco Underwood, LS, Florida (6’3, 240)
The Eagles don’t have a long snapper on the roster right now, which makes Underwood the most likely UDFA to make the 53. Appeared in 50 games for the Gators and snapped for Trey Smack, the only kicker drafted in 2026. Someone has to snap the ball. Right now that’s him.
Maximus Pulley, S, Wofford (5’11, 197)
Elite football name. 85 tackles and five interceptions with two pick-sixes at Wofford in 2025. Reads quarterbacks’ eyes, makes plays on the ball, and loves triggering downhill against the run. Competition level is a concern but the ballhawk mentality is real. Fun camp player.
Tucker Large, S, Washington State (5’10, 181)
Small safety. False advertising with that last name. Transferred from South Dakota State to WSU and had 71 tackles with eight pass breakups in 2025 but zero interceptions after grabbing seven combined the two years prior. Also returned a punt for a touchdown. Special teams value and a depth piece.
Who will make the Eagles roster?
The Eagles have had at least one UDFA make the initial 53-man roster in 11 of the last 14 years. Lawson, Underwood, and Gushiken feel like the three best bets to survive camp.
