DeJean’s rookie contract is reportedly a four-year deal worth $9.28M. CB Quinyon Micthell remains the last draft pick to sign.
After landing Mitchell in the first round of the draft, Howie targeted his guy in this second round and executed a trade to get another top-five defensive back. Many experts had Cooper DeJean going in the first round, given his versatility to play both the outside and inside at cornerback and his experience in the box at safety.
New Eagles DC Vic Fangio loves to run a diverse zone scheme, and a player like Cooper DeJean fits like a glove into this defense.
DeJean has already endeared himself to fans after being spotted at a Phillies game smashing beers over the weekend. Get ready to see a ton of ‘DeJawn’ shirts in September.
