Eagles’ Nolan Smith on Haason Reddick and expectations for 2nd season

Philadelphia Eagles‘ second edge rusher Nolan Smith got the opportunity to address several things when speaking with the media recently.

While commending newly signed edge rusher Bryce Huff, Smith didn’t forget to acknowledge his former teammate Haason Reddick. He thanked Reddick for all his guidance and support during his rookie season.

“Bryce is an amazing guy, so is Haason,” Smith said. “I learned so much from Haaason, so if you trying to get me to say something bad about (No.) 7, I love 7 to death cause he gave his all to me. He taught me things from here that I’ll take with me for the rest of my life.”

Nolan Smith fired up for Eagles OTA’s

Smith will undoubtedly be under the microscope this season as he steps into a more significant role. It’s tough to contribute immediately in the NFL, and given the circumstances surrounding the Eagles, it’s only suitable to simply turn the page on that season.

“You know, it’s a learning curve. A lot of people think you’re supposed to come in the league and dominate and do all of this and that. And I got the same dreams and hopes that everybody had for me.”

“I wanna have 10-plus sacks and do all of that, but realistically, it’s a learning curve. These guys have been in here 15 years, these guys have been in here a long time.”
