A.J. Brown on the Eagles new DB Quinyon Mitchell talking trash during minicamp practice

Thank the Lord, the Philadelphia Eagles finally have some defensive backs. How refreshing it is to see that.

Today, fan-favorite wide receiver A.J. Brown shared his experience during the minicamp period, particularly his encounters with Quinton Mitchell. He didn’t shy away from describing the challenge the new defensive backs pose.

A.J. Brown makes a great point about Mitchell’s playing against other receivers and not the Eagles ones come September. This leads me to my next point: This is a win-win scenario for everyone involved. The Birds have arguably the best receiver duo in the league, so that will more than prep all of the defensive backs for the rest of the league’s best pass catchers.

This will only make Brown and Smitty better. They are still getting acclimated to Kellen Moore’s offense, and they will be challenged by guys like Darius Slay, Isaiah Rodgers, Kelee Ringo, Cooper Dejean, and Quinyon Mitchell, the first-round pick himself.
