SOUND THE ALARMS: Scott Kingery crushes 2 more home runs, leading the Lehigh Valley IronPigs over the Buffalo Bison, 5-3

This is your daily reminder that Scott Kingery should be on the Philadelphia Phillies 40-man roster.

Last night, Scott Kingery had himself his FOURTH multi-home run game, powering the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (24-32) past the Buffalo Bisons (30-28) to a 5-3 victory in their series opener at Coca-Cola Park.

Kingery hit his first of two home runs in the sixth inning. With the game tied 2-2, he crushed a two-run home run to put the IronPigs back on top 4-2.

After the Buffalo Bison cut the Pigs’ lead to just one run, Kingery restored the two-run lead with his second dinger of the night in the bottom of the eighth inning for his team-leading 13th of the season.

You already know what I’m going to say but for whatever reason, the Philadelphia Phillies aren’t paying attention. After two weeks of being on “high alert” of JETPAX SZN, we’re now officially ready to elevate the sirens “inevitable”.

With news coming out yesterday that Phillies prospect Jose Rodriguez being suspended for one year due to violating Major League Baseball’s gambling policy, there’s really no reason why Scott Kingery shouldn’t be, at the very least, added to the Phillies 40-man roster.

Jose Rodriguez was on the Phillies 40-man roster and is now suspended for one year, meaning JETPAX SZN is officially back on the table

Kingery now has 13 home runs in Lehigh Valley this season. He’s batting .256 with a .853 OPS with 30 RBI and seven stolen bases. Can anyone really say that someone like Weston Wilson, Rodolfo Castro, or Darick Hall deserves a spot on the Phillies 40-man roster over him?

Note: Wilson, who I’m sure everyone is much more familiar with, also joined the Phillies after Clemens and Marsh hit the injured list in the midst of a miserable season in Triple A Lehigh Valley where he’s batting .211 with a .684 OPS.

If so, then we’ll get you a comfy bed at the Byberry Asylum.
