Joel Embiid took to Twitter last night to question if the Milwaukee Bucks handed the Boston Celtics an NBA Championship

Joel Embiid sparked a debate on Twitter last night after posting about Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks.

The Celtics, led by Jaylen Brown took a 3-0 series lead in the NBA Finals following a 106-99 victory in Dallas last night. Embiid took to Twitter and questioned whether the Milwaukee Bucks handed the Boston Celtics the NBA Championship.

Joel Embiid on Twitter…(lol)

Did the bucks give them the championship?

With Embiid missing a few months during the regular season, the Eastern Conference was considered a two-team race between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Boston Celtics.

The Bucks specifically had the (healthy) star power and depth to challenge the Celtics in the East and presumably in the playoffs.

Unfortunately, Doc Rivers and the Bucks lost in the first round to the Indiana Pacers after Giannis Antetokounmpo missed the entire series while co-star Dame Lillard was in and out of the lineup due to injuries.

A lot of people thought Embiid was referencing Jrue Holiday being a member of the Boston Celtics after the Bucks sent him to Portland in the Lillard Blockbuster – only for the former Philadelphia 76ers draft pick to find a new home with the Celtics in days later in a separate trade.

I’m not so sure? Holliday wasn’t playing great last night however he’s been a great piece for the Celtics so maybe that was it? Is it possible Embiid was taking a shot at Jrue?

The speculation continues…

Whatever the reason, it’s hard to argue that Boston hasn’t enjoyed a nice cakewalk through the NBA regular season and the playoffs. Are they a good basketball team? Well yeah, obviously – but when you’re playing teams like the Heat, Cavs, and Pacers to get to the finals then what did anyone really expect?

On top of that, the regular season was sham because it was the teams mentioned above and a Philadelphia 76ers team playing without Embiid for half of the year.

Maybe Embiid was just “trolling” and saying that him not being healthy was the main reason that the Celtics enjoyed a cake walk to the finals and now are playing the “Two-Man Show” that is the Dallas Mavericks with Luka all beat up?

That makes sense and definitely fits the mold of Embiid on social media. Let’s go with that.
