“We Have Your Son”: Tim Legler suggests an NBA team should draft Bronny James and hold him hostage to force the Lakers to trade for him

Round 2 of the NBA Draft is about to commence, and Bronny James remains on the board. His father’s team doesn’t pick until 55, so there is an opportunity for a different team to snatch him up before then. ESPN’s Tim Legler has a brilliant plan for the team willing to pick him up.

Tim Legler says a team should draft Bronny James and send a ransom note to the Lakers with their trade demand:

I mean let’s be real, this is a genius idea. Granted, I don’t want the Celtics to execute this plan and succeed because I hate them with ever fiber of my being, but it’s a smart move regardless.

This is some serious Game of Thrones type shit, and I love every bit of it. The NBA has always been more soap opera than sports league and, honestly, this draft has zero compelling storylines so far.
