Report: 76ers agree to five-year, $204M contract extension with Tyrese Maxey
Daryl Morey and his Philadelphia 76ers have gotten off to a fast start this offseason.
Not only did they manage to land the big fish of this year’s free agency in Paul George, they also signed Eric Gordon to a veteran minimum deal, as well as re-sign Kelly Oubre.
With those three key pieces secured, Morey and Co. decided to re-sign another one of their own, All-Star point guard Tyrese Maxey. According to Woj, the 76ers and Maxey have agreed in principle to a five-year, $204 million maximum extension.

Just two days into NBA free agency, and the 76ers may already be done. Considering who they landed and kept, that’s not a bad thing at all.
Honestly, it’s surprising that the team has been this active in the first place. A lot of 76ers fans seemed to already have one foot out the door with this team. This slew of moves may convince them to jump back on the wagon.
