Bill Belichick’s next team? Shocking odds hint at an NFC East Bidding War in 2025

Bill Belichick has expressed his desire to return to coaching next year after not securing a position in the latest hiring cycle. There’s a sense around the league that several notable coaching positions could open up heading into next season which could lead to Bill getting back into the film room and setting his 20-something year old girlfriend to the side.

Odds have been released for Belichick’s next team in 2025. Unfortunately for Eagles fans, the Dallas Cowboys (1/1) are currently listed as the betting favorite. After them however comes the New York Jets at 5/1 and the Philadelphia Eagles at 6/1.

Which team will he coach next season?

  • Dallas Cowboys 1/1
  • New York Jets 5/1
  • Philadelphia Eagles 6/1
  • Chicago Bears 8/1
  • Las Vegas Raiders 10/1
  • New York Giants 10/1
  • Buffalo Bills 12/1
  • New Orleans Saints 12/1
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers 12/1

With all of that said, Colin Cowherd made several really good points about Belichick yesterday on his show.

Bill Belichick rather stay out in the East

It’s worth noting that Cowherd also mentioned quarterback stability as one of the main selling points which obviously, caused some doubt that Belichick would end up in Dallas next season.

The Dallas Cowboys are still dealing with their typical circus down in Jerry’s World – the main headline being the on-going contract negotiations with Dak Prescott. I can’t imagine Belichick would want to return to coaching and immediately deal with drama and unhappy players.

The Buffalo Bills side of this is very interesting and I think makes total sense. It’s simple, Bill wants to stay in that division and stick it to Robert Kraft and the New England Patriots.

The Wildcard Team…

I do believe the wildcard in all of this is the Philadelphia Eagles.

On paper, Philly has arguably the most talented roster in the NFL, and just upgraded both coordinator positions. One of the only real question marks about the team is head coach Nick Sirianni. While I don’t agree with all the slander he receives, there’s certainly been questions raised about his role and impact on the team.

Bill is certainly doing his due diligence to make sure he’s not a forgotten figure as a coaching candidate as he’s taken on several media jobs.

So, for the crowd of people who think he’s done, just keep a close eye on all of these teams mentioned in this blog. I would not be shocked to see him back in the NFL next season.
