WATCH: Randy Orton squashes G.O.A.T debate in the NBA between Michael Jordan & Lebron James on interview with WWE superstar Cody Rhodes
Future WWE Hall of Famer Randy Orton sat down with the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes on the 6th episode of “What Do You Wanna Talk About?”, a sit-down interview show presented by Wheatley Vodka.
The two share a lot of history together, dating back to the early 2000s. For those unaware, Orton has always been a mentor to Rhodes, who has had quite the journey in professional wrestling. To summarize a very long and magical story, Cody Rhodes recently won the WWE Championship at this past year’s Wrestlemania, making him the first Rhodes to accomplish such a feat.
This sit-down interview between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton lasted about an hour and was filled with just about everything you could imagine. Cody actually took the opportunity to bring up the G.O.A.T conversation regarding wrestling but fit in a Lebron James vs. Michael Jordan question. And let me tell you, Randy’s response did not disappoint.

As a fan of the WWE and heavily backing Jordan in the G.O.A.T debate, I got a nice laugh out of it. What’s especially telling from this clip is how fast Randy Orton moves off the conversation. It is almost as if he finds it disrespectful and annoying that people continuously tear down Jordan’s legacy because that’s essentially what happened over the years as Lebron tries to win the longevity trophy.
In no way do I mean to discredit Lebron’s greatness; I’m just over this conversation and find it laughable that anyone thinks he’s the G.O.AT. Randy’s opinion here holds weight because many people consider him one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, and out of the humbleness in his heart, he can’t consider himself that. He’s too busy being grateful for the fans and all the wonderful moments he’s had in the business his entire life.
