Roasted: Sauce Gardner couldn’t stop himself from laughing at Daniel Jones after joint practice with Giants

The New York Giants and Jets held a joint practice on Wednesday ahead of the third and final week of preseason.

Jets CB Sauce Gardner got a close look at Malik Nabers and praised the rookie receiver following practice, stating that he will be a ‘very good player’ in the league.

When asked about the Giants’ starting quarterback Daniel Jones, Gardner had trouble finding anything to say and appeared to hold back laughter.

“He’s a good quarterback, you feel me. I thought I was about to pick him off today. He had looked at the last minute to try to throw the checkdown at Wan’Dale [Robinson]. I thought I had the pick, but he kept it. I mean,” Gardner said.

Sauce later addressed his comments on Twitter/X, stating that he lost his train of thought during the press conference.

Sauce doesn’t have to lie to us; everyone knows Daniel Jones is mediocre at best. Everyone except the Giants, who opted to hand Danny Pennies $160M rather than pay Saquon Barkley.

With Barkley moving on to Philly, the Giants have made their bed with Daniel Jones — now they have to lay in it. Prayers up to Giants fans.

Over five years in the NFL, Jones has thrown for 62 touchdowns to 40 interceptions and fumbled 46 times.
