NFL Top 3 Most Overrated QB’s according to anonymous player voting
With week 1 of the NFL season just over a week away, ESPN recently asked 103 players several questions about their league peers.
Various questions were surveyed, including whether or not Patrick Mahomes could surpass Tom Brady as the GOAT. But the one that got everyone’s attention was, “Who is the most overrated quarterback in the NFL?”
Most Overrated quarterback’s in the NFL
ESPN asked 103 NFL players who is the most overrated quarterback in the league:

2) #Eagles Jalen Hurts

3) #Chargers Justin Herbert
4) #Jaguars Trevor Lawrence
5) #Browns Deshaun Watson
6) #Cardinals Kyler Murray

The top three vote-getters in this category have collectively appeared in five Pro Bowls, reached one Super Bowl, and competed in two conference championship games. So, it seems odd that Jalen Hurts & Josh Allen were ranked so high on this list. As far as Tua goes, I can see the argument there.
So, this suggests that even a successful quarterback can be considered overrated.
When casting a vote for Allen, one NFC West player remarked, “Too many turnovers.”
Since the beginning of the 2008 season, Allen has committed 102 turnovers, the highest in the NFL. Jared Goff of the Detroit Lions follows with 96, while Baker Mayfield of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has 91.
Eagles franchise quarterback Jalen Hurts has gone even further than Allen, as he took the team to the Super Bowl just two years ago. Yet he seems to receive so much criticism for not meeting such high expectations due to the talent on the team.
“How hard is it to throw jump balls to A.J. Brown or DeVonta Smith?” questioned a player from the NFC East. “And their tight end, Dallas Goedert, is really good.”
Only time will tell how poor this player surveyed list was, as this season should give us a way better idea of how good these quarterbacks are.
