Report: Eagles DB James Bradberry out 6-8 weeks with lower leg injury
Eagles veteran DB James Bradberry will miss the first 6-8 weeks of the 2024 season with a lower leg injury.
Per multiple reports, Bradberry suffered the injury in yesterday’s practice. No surgery is required, but the injury involves tendon damage that will take roughly two months to heal.

The Eagles reportedly tried to trade Bradberry this offseason after his abysmal 2023 season. With no team willing to offer a conditional pick for the 31-year-old, Philadelphia moved Bradberry to safety to mask his weaknesses.
Eagles DC Vic Fangio has spoken highly of Bradberry’s transition throughout the summer.
“James has got a good feel for football, very knowledgeable,” Fangio said. “So that will help him in that transition. He’ll still play some corner for us too.”
Bradberry’s $15M cap hit made an outright release unlikely, so the Eagles opted to keep him on the final-53 and guaranteed his salary in 2024.
Getting hurt in the first practice after roster cuts is far from ideal and will further complicate any potential trade conversations during the season.
