Love was in the air during the Philadelphia Eagles 34-29 win over the Green Bay Packers in São Paulo, Brazil and one Eagles fan specifically decided to take “the leap” and propose under the lights at Arena Corinthians…in a Carson Wentz jersey.

Listen, if you’re going to travel the whole way to Brazil for a Philadelphia Eagles game, then you should probably make sure that you’re dressed for the occasion.

Proposing in a Carson Wentz jersey is a wild move, even more so when your now-fiancé is rocking a fresh Kelly Green alternate.

As for Wentz, it’s a tough one in general given how things ended in Philly. It’s easy to think that proposing under those circumstances, wearing that jersey could be viewed as a bad omen, right?

Is a Carson Wentz Philadelphia Eagles jersey simply a sign of how to get out of a long term commitment earlier than expected? I think it’s a fair question but honestly, it’s more likely that the answer is the complete opposite.

Regardless of how things officially ended with Wentz and the Eagles, he was en route to an MVP season before getting injured, only to watch Nick Foles and the Eagles beat Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl.

A Wentz jersey could indicate someone performing at an MVP-like level and giving his body and general health for the people around him in order to achieve the ultimate levels of greatness.

That sounds much better for the newlyweds. Let’s go with that over any type of bad omen. Plus, if you want to believe in those types of things to begin with, then Carson Wentz is going to lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a Super Bowl LIX win this season.
