Carson Wentz Eagles

As It Was Written: Carson Wentz is set to be the Eagles’ Super Bowl 60 MVP on his current career trajectory

Yeah, this is what we’re writing about today. Carson Wentz, the former franchise quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles, is on a career trajectory that could see him back in midnight green in the near future. Hear me out.

Over the past two years, Wentz’s career has followed a very similar path to Nick Foles‘. Wentz was with the Rams last season, which is where Foles went to after his first stint in Philly. Now, he’s on a one-year deal with the Chiefs, the last team Foles was on before coming back to Philadelphia.

All of this can only mean one thing… Wentz will come back to Philadelphia next season as the backup, Jalen Hurts will go down with an injury late in the season, only for Wentz to come in and take the team to the promised land.

Don’t buy it? I don’t care, it wasn’t even my thought, I saw it on Twitter and am stealing it for this article. Joke’s on you, idiot.

Eagles Fan Central came up with this theory, so credit where credit is due.

Carson Wentz: Super Bowl 60 MVP

Do I actually think this will happen? No. Does part of me kinda, sorta hope it does? Absolutely.

If history is any indicator, this is the only way the Eagles can win a Super Bowl. They’ve tried to win it with their ‘franchise quarterback’ on three separate occasions — all losses. Carson Wentz may actually be our only hope at getting another chip. He checks all the boxes.

Started his career with the Eagles — check.

Had one great year with the team — check.

Left under less than ideal circumstances — check.

Is now an afterthought as far as quarterbacks are concerned — check.

It’s all coming together. Maybe this is just how it was always supposed to be and we didn’t see it at the time. Carson Wentz is not the hero we deserve, but the hero we need right now. Come home next year and let’s win a Super Bowl.
