WATCH: DeVonta Smith did the Bad Boys celly without AJ Brown, Britain Covey denied official membership

Britain Covey caught all six of his targets for 23 yards in the stunning 22-21 Philadelphia Eagles loss to the Falcons on Monday Night Football in Week 2.

Covey turned out to be one of the main beneficiaries of the AJ Brown hamstring injury as he finished second on the team in targets and catches, although he turned those opportunities into just 3.8 yards per catch.

That doesn’t mean that Covey is ready to join DeVonta Smith as one of the Bad Boys in the Eagles’ wide receivers room. Smith caught seven of his 10 targets for 76 yards and a touchdown – which put the Eagles up 7-3 in the second quarter.

After toe-tapping his way to the score in the back-center of the end zone Smith get up and did the Bad Boys Celly we all witnessed from he and AJ Brown in Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers. This time around, he was solo – with AJ Brown missing last night’s game with a hamstring injury.

With reports that Brown’s hamstring could hold him out another week or so, Covey should return to a similar role as the short-area safety valve heading into Week 3 against the Saints. Nothing yet on whether or not he’ll be accepted by DeVonta Smith for touchdown celebrations but if he can see an increase in yards per catch, I like his chances.

In what started as an exciting day in South Philadelphia, it ended in stunning fashion as Kirk Cousins pulled off a textbook last-minute drive for the Atlanta Falcons, finding Drake London for a 7-yard touchdown with just 34 seconds left, handing the Falcons a dramatic 22-21 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles had their chance to close it out, but a dropped pass by Saquon Barkley with 1:46 remaining cost them a critical first down. Instead of running out the clock, they had to settle for a field goal, leaving Cousins with more than enough time to make his move.

Cousins, coming off an Achilles injury and playing his second game since last October, stepped up when it mattered most. He delivered big throws to Darnell Mooney for 21 and 26 yards on consecutive plays during the decisive drive. His final strike to London tied the game.

Younghoe Koo then drilled a 48-yard extra point, thanks to a penalty on London, to put the Falcons (1-1) ahead. The entire drive took only 65 seconds.

Jalen Hurts’ final attempt was picked off by Jessie Bates III, sealing the victory for Atlanta, stunning the sold out crowd at Lincoln Financial Field in the process.
