Ryan Williams makes statement during Alabama’s win over Georgia, continues on Instagram following the game
Alabama’s freshman sensation Ryan Williams had more than just a breakout game against Georgia this past Saturday night—he sent a message, and it was loud and clear.
While many players use their eye black to display personal or religious messages, Williams went full savage for the big rivalry game.
The message? “Kill everybody.”
Ryan Williams: Kill Everybody
To be clear, Psalm 145:18 states, “The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth”. Ryan Williams wasn’t having that and if you ask Georgia, kill everybody is probably what it felt like after the 17-year-old wideout absolutely torched the Bulldogs’ defense, racking up 6 catches for 177 yards and a touchdown in Alabama’s thrilling 41-34 comeback victory.
The fourth quarter of Alabama’s showdown with No. 4 Georgia was college football at its finest, and it became the Ryan Williams show when the Crimson Tide needed it most.
With 2:31 left, Georgia had just erased a 28-0 deficit to take a 34-33 lead, silencing Bryant-Denny Stadium. But just when it looked like the Bulldogs had all the momentum, Alabama’s freshman phenom stepped up.
On the very next snap, quarterback Jalen Milroe connected with Williams on a 75-yard bomb that sent the stadium into an all-out frenzy.
The play itself was a thing of beauty: Milroe, who piled up nearly 500 yards of offense in the game, placed the ball perfectly along the sideline. Ryan Williams hauled in the back-shoulder catch, spun two Georgia defenders into each other like a highlight reel, and sprinted into the end zone. The Tide converted the two-point attempt, and just like that, Alabama was back on top.
Ryan Williams Delivers Game-Winning Blow in Thriller Against Georgia
With 2:18 remaining, the No. 2 Crimson Tide sealed the 41-34 victory, a huge win in their SEC opener. The chemistry between Milroe and Williams was on full display, and that game-winning moment will be one for the highlight reels for years to come. For Williams, this play was just another reminder of why the college football world is buzzing about his future.
Through four games, Williams is already proving why he’s one of the most electric freshmen in the country. With 16 catches, 462 yards, and 5 touchdowns to his name, he’s quickly building a reputation as the next great receiver to come out of Tuscaloosa.
Following the win, Williams took to Instagram to update his profile picture to Michael Vick – who used to play for the Atlanta Falcons. If you noticed in the video above, he also broke out the “Dirty Bird” after scoring the go ahead touchdown.
Legend.
If he keeps this up, Williams could be the latest in a long line of Alabama wide receivers destined for NFL stardom. Keep an eye on him—this kid is just getting started.
