Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Peters is back in the NFL, rejoins the Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks are reuniting with a familiar veteran as they look to reinforce their injury-riddled offensive line. Eagles legend Jason Peters, who spent part of last season with Seattle, is expected to sign with the team’s practice squad, according to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero.

With George Fant on injured reserve and Abe Lucas also out, Seattle’s offensive line is dealing with some significant setbacks. At 42, Peters may not be in his prime, but he brings a wealth of experience to the table, which could be invaluable for a team trying to stay competitive while battling injury woes.
I have my doubts. We were questioning Peters playing at the ripe age of 40 two years ago and ever since he left Philly, it’s been pretty ugly, but hey – can’t blame the guy for wanting to get back out there on the football field.
Peters has had a storied NFL career, which began back in 2004 with the Buffalo Bills. After making two Pro Bowls with the Bills, he moved on to the Philadelphia Eagles, where he became one of the league’s elite left tackles.
Jason Peters played in Philly from 2009 to 2020, earning nine Pro Bowl selections and two first-team All-Pro nods over the course of his career, although he missed the 2012 season due to an Achilles injury.
More recently, Peters had stints with the Chicago Bears in 2021 and the Dallas Cowboys in 2022 before his first run with the Seahawks. Last year, he appeared in eight games for Seattle and made two starts.
Now, as Seattle sits at 3-1 after a loss to the Lions, Peters is stepping in to offer depth and guidance to a Seahawks offensive line that desperately needs it.
