Crisis Actor: New York Mets fan claims he was kicked out of Citizens Bank Park simply for being Mets fan

Just when it seemed like the Phillies were down and out, they pulled off an electrifying comeback that had Citizens Bank Park shaking with life.

A sold-out crowd, who appeared to be bracing for disappointment, was instead treated to one of those magical postseason moments that Philly fans live for.

If you’re a Mets fan, I genuinely hope that yesterday’s Game 2 loss felt like a the worst punch to the gut imaginable. I hope that the Mets and their corny fanbase were left questioning everything as the Phillies—just when it looked like their season might be slipping away—managed to flip the script and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

From Saturday to Sunday, you could feel the tension in the air but yesterday in the “second half” of Game 2, The Fightins returned and my god, this team thrives in chaos.

The louder the doubters, the stronger the Phillies get. And with their backs against the wall, they rallied, lighting up the scoreboard in a way that had New York’s hopes crashing down in the opposite direction.

At some point during the chaos that unfolded over the weekend in South Philly, a Mets fan was removed from Citizens Bank Park. His explanation was that he was kicked out for being a Mets fan and honestly, I hope he was kicked out for just being a Mets fan.

That’s a good enough reason to completely shut down the bridges from New Jersey in effort to stop the influx of RATS coming down from New York or New Jersey – wherever the nest lies.

Of course, that was definitely not the reason why this dork got the boot. There’s always more to what happened and we’ve seen this story play out in Philly’s favor time and time again.

Last year, we had Braves’ skipper Brian Snitker claiming that he wouldn’t even allow his family to travel to Citizens Bank Park because of Phillies fans. When asked what happened to his family, Snitker had no reason or proof behind his claim.

Now, we have these Mets fans who claim they were removed just because they were rooting for their team inside the holy grounds of Citizens Bank Park.

New York Mets fans claim they were kicked out of Citizens Bank Park simply for…being Mets fans

“Just so ya know I went there by myself looking for no problems and the fans were bumping me smacking my hat off my head and I held my composure until we started scoring and I started screaming let’s to Mets!!! And I got kicked”

Honestly, I would have went with the always-classic “They kicked us out because I’m gay” excuse for this particular Mets fan, who appears to be dating his boyfriend or friend, whatever, in the beginning of the video. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, however it is 2024 and a more logical response than getting the boot just because you’re rooting for the other side, right?

Not to mention this guy was there by himself because he’s a Mets fan and no one likes the Mets or their fans.

The entire thing is complete bullshit and can easily be added to the laundry list of reasons of why everyone, and I mean everyone, hates the New York Mets and their corny fanbase.

I didn’t even have to watch the video to know that type of “fan” coming to an opposing ballpark. They weaseled their way down here from the slums of New York / New Jersey after long hours staring at themselves in the mirror and drinking a ton of Red Bulls, already looking for a fight with Phillies fans.

Of course, they didn’t find one, so they restarted to screaming in the faces of Phillies fans, cursing, and acting like total assholes in a game that was too much for their peanut-brains to comprehend and properly deal with the rollercoaster of emotions flowing through their veins.

If you don’t want to make assumptions, we don’t have to. I think the Mets fan himself chanting “Lets Go Mets” while flipping people off and cursing is a clear indicator that this dude was there trying to fight instead of watching a postseason baseball game.

According to Investigative Journalist Kevin Kinkead at Crossing Broad, he received a tip that provided more context to what happened with this particular Mets fan.

We heard from some Phillies fans in this section who said the fan was egging people on and that it looked like something bad was going to happen. This comment is from Facebook:

We were in this section. About 10 rows up. I never saw him do anything physical other than get in people’s faces bad. He was drunk and the taunting was way over the top and while we expect it the language wasn’t ideal bc it was directed at all the fans including the kids around. He got in someone’s face and they flipped his hat off and that’s when they started calling for security bc he was getting more hype. The issue I saw was when they got to him finally (top of the 9tu I think) he went off on them hard and their reaction was like nah – you’re gone when it looked like they just went to check out the scene and calm him down. Like the guy at the end of the video saying they are saving your life – it’s probably why they did it. He had inflamed the section so badly he was likely getting jumped by someone at some point as a result of his behavior. The sad part about this video is seeing all the seats empty from Phillies fans who bailed in the eighth inning. The rest of the Mets fans in the section and the Phillies fans completely got along with normal banter back-and-forth and nothing out of line”

Good. The New York Mets are dead men walking.

Just like the sad Mets fan realized at Xfinity Live! as a sea of red erupted for Nick Castellanos’ walk off hit in Game 2, the Phillies have their swagger back.

The Mets would be better off coming to terms that any hope or joy they had is now gone. There’s no need to complain or make up stories about Philadelphia and the fanbase here.

You had your shot. You took it. And now it’s gone.

The Mets know they got beyond lucky in Game 1 as the Phillies choked away a Zack Wheeler Masterclass. This series should easily be 2-0 with Aaron Nola on the mound in Queens tomorrow night to send the Mets to Cancun.

That didn’t happen. Fine. Whatever.

What did happen, was the Mets allowing the return of “The Fightins” and it’s really bad news for opposing pitching staffs (or lack thereof) who have to deal with the awakening of Trea Turner, Bryce Harper, and Nick Castellanos.

If Game 2 was any indication, the remainder of this series is going to be a back-and-forth fist fight but man, do I feel great with Nola on the mound tomorrow in Queens.

  1. Stay tuned, more choking to come from the “Phucking Phillies”! Let’s see, they choked the months of August & September. Had to gently tap Trea’s ass to get him to start hitting, needed to borrow some of Diddy’s vaseline for Catellano, Harper & Marsh’s hair, won the season series by 1 game and have fallen asleep in the playoffs! Mets in 4! #PhuckthePhillies
