Nick Sirianni’s hype speech after the Eagles’ bye week will either motivate you or put you to sleep
After stumbling to a 2-2 start, the Philadelphia Eagles look to get back on track following their early bye week.
Head coach Nick Sirianni and QB Jalen Hurts are reportedly on the same page as rumors continue to swirl about their relationship.
“We’re the two leaders of the team,” Hurts said on Wednesday. “I’m happy and fortunate that we were able to come together in harmony and have the same goal in mind, trying to get this thing right.
I got a ton of confidence in him, a ton of confidence in what he brings and everything he’s been able to accomplish. Just continue to press on, on that.
Everybody goes through different moments, everybody experiences adversity but we’ve experienced different levels of adversity together. We’re excited for what’s to come.”
The Eagles released a video on Thursday of Sirianni giving a hype speech to his team — the delivery wasn’t exactly motivating.
"You got to be so *** hungry for this ***. That's the only way it's going to take another step. And are you humble enough to say, hey, this is what I need to get better at? Are you hungry for it? Are you starving for this ***?"

Perhaps we are reading too much into this since Sirianni is on the proverbial hot seat. Still, it’s difficult to take anything he says seriously until the Eagles start winning.
Who knows, though — we all laughed at Sirianni’s flower analogy in 2021 before his team won seven of their next nine games.
Maybe this speech will resonate with the Eagles as they prepare to face the reeling Cleveland Browns at home on Sunday.
AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith and Lane Johnson are all practicing today for the second straight day.
