The Eagles had an open spot on their 53-man roster after parting ways with LB Devin White earlier in the week. Since Campbell had already been elevated three times, the team needed to officially add him to the roster if they wanted him available on game days moving forward.
Over the last three games, Campbell has logged 99 offensive snaps with six catches for 30 yards and a touchdown. He’ll be the team’s fifth wide receiver behind A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Jahan Dotson, and Johnny Wilson.
This move, however, means safety Sydney Brown will have to wait at least another week to make his 2024 debut. Both Brown, recovering from an ACL injury, and wide receiver Ainias Smith, dealing with an ankle injury, had their practice windows opened this week.
The Eagles now have 21 days to activate them or shut them down for the season.
