Injury News: Darius Slay considered ‘day-to-day’ after exiting Sunday’s Week 6 matchup
During the second half of Sunday’s contest against the Cleveland Browns, Darius Slay left the game with a knee injury and didn’t return.
An official diagnosis, aside from ‘knee injury,’ hasn’t been given to Slay. Nevertheless, it doesn’t seem to be too serious and there’s a good chance he doesn’t miss any action.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Darius Slay is considered ‘day-to-day.’

After Slay went to the locker room, second-year corner Kelee Ringo and Isaiah Rodgers split time in his absence. Ringo logged six snaps, while Rodgers logged 22. The duo was targeted a. combined one time by Deshaun Watson, resulting in a 13 yard reception.
Slay may not be the All-Pro he once was, but losing him for an extended period of time still wouldn’t be ideal. If he were to miss a game or two, Rodgers would more than likely get the start. We also can’t forget about James Bradberry, who should be returning from injury within the next week or so. I doubt he’d start in Slay’s absence, but it wouldn’t shock me either.
