Darius Slay responds to Eagles coach Nick Sirianni’s wild antics on podcast with Micah Parsons

It was only a matter of time until Darius Slay would respond to all the drama centered around Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni. However, instead of it being on his podcast, he appeared on division rival Micah Parson’s podcast.

For those who aren’t aware, Sirianni was seen shouting in the direction of Eagles fans in the closing moments of their win over the Cleveland Browns.

Where do I even begin? First of all, who actually tunes into these player podcasts? Like, be honest with me. While I don’t care what players do in their free time, I find it flat-out wrong that Slay and Parsons collaborate together. Maybe times have just changed, but it’s unacceptable to do this with a Dallas Cowboys player. I’m sorry, it’s just wrong.

I’m sure Cowboys fans would feel the same way about their star player doing podcasts with a Philadelphia Eagles player. Nonetheless, after the Eagles got blown out by the Buccaneers in week 4, Slay would begin his podcast collaboration with Micah Parsons. Fast forward to now, even after all the scrutiny he faced from fans for working with a Cowboys player, Slay decided to continue this with Micah.

The whole thing is incredibly frustrating because the last thing you should be doing in a time like this is leaking any information to a division rival. That’s the issue here. The Eagles head coach is all over the news, and now we have a player on our team talking about it with a Cowboys player.

“I mean, coach just got back in the win column, man. So we trying to just, he’s just excited man, you know? He’s just happy to get back in the win column because I know we can get booed just like everybody else gets boos in that stadium. Nick did it the best way he could. He likes to show his personality a little bit. I saw that he apologized to the fans, which he should have because you know the fans love him to death.”

“And we do appreciate him as a coach but yeah, emotions get involved. I just want people to know that we are human. That’s it. We’re human and that’s what makes it difficult out here. We wish we could be superheroes but we ain’t. We are human.”

Regardless, none of this matters if the Eagles win football games. They had better do it on Sunday when they travel to MetLife to play the New York Giants.
