Shohei Ohtani continues postseason dominance with monster home run in Game 3 of NLCS

Shohei Ohtani delivered yet another jaw-dropping moment for MLB fans on Wednesday, reminding everyone just how unstoppable he can be in the postseason.

During Game 3 of the NLCS between the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets, Ohtani came up clutch once again.

With the Dodgers already holding a 4-0 lead in the eighth inning, Ohtani stepped up to the plate with two runners on base and just one out. Facing Tylor Megill, Ohtani unleashed his power on a 1-0 cutter, sending the ball rocketing into the stratosphere.

Statcast may have measured the home run at 410 feet, but it felt like it went much, much farther.

It was a blast that brought memories of Babe Ruth’s legendary power, a “Ruthian” display by Ohtani that had fans at Citi Field in awe.

The ball arched halfway up the upper deck, curving around the right field foul pole for a three-run bomb that gave the Dodgers a commanding 7-0 lead.

Ohtani has been nothing short of incredible this postseason, especially with runners in scoring position. He’s now a scorching 5-for-6 (.833) in those clutch situations, proving time and time again that he thrives in the biggest moments.

This was his second home run of the playoffs, the first being a moonshot off Dylan Cease in the NLDS, which also featured a memorable bat flip.
