SOS Eagles fans: Joe DeCamara is not convinced that Jalen Hurts will be the starting QB after 2025

One day, we will no longer be forced to listen to the same old sports talk radio garbage in this city. The year is 2024 and I still can’t believe Eagles fans have this as their only outlet/option for their entertainment or even place to vent about their team.

Unfortunately, today isn’t that day. I do have faith in the people of this great city and more importantly the wonderful people who claim Philadelphia sports teams as theirs. My faith being that one day there will be a better media outlet for everyone to come together and just talk sports. Who knows, maybe Jason Kelce builds an entertainment empire of his own. Or maybe, just maybe, the people who started this blog site you are reading right now can lead the charge and save the day. Some would call that finishing the story.

Anyways, with that said, we turn to Joe DeCamara of Sports Radio WIP who delivered yet another sorry message to the best fans in the world. Before i rip into his take, I want to make myself clear, I don’t know Joe personally; I just think his takes generally suck. So, In shocking news to literally no one, he believes that Jalen Hurts will not be the Eagles starting quarterback after 2025.

DeCamara still not convinced Hurts is Eagles' long-term QB: "I don't expect them to do it after this year. My thought is after next year, but we'll see."

Jon: "That's insanity."

Joe: "What's insanity?"

Where do I even begin? How is this your takeaway after Hurts went all of October with no turnovers and he appears to be playing the best football of his career since 2022? I understand if you don’t fully believe that Jalen is a top five quarterback in the NFL for example, but to sit here and act like his days are numbered here in Philly is absolutely insane.

I truly feel bad for all the Eagles fans who tune into this show every Monday morning after a game and have to deal with this nonsense. Luckily not everyone at WIP is a total idiot, and Jon Ritchie is the one tasked with putting him in his place everyday. Go figure it takes a former player to put a talking head in his place right? It’s only a matter of time till Kelce rips his head off in studio one of these times he’s in there.

But, here’s the thing, most of the people who listen to the radio are grumpy old people who just want to bitch and moan about anything and everything. A prime example of this; just take a look at the comment section on that tweet I shared in this blog. Obviously DeCamara was getting ripped up for the most part, but I did spot a bunch of weirdos who actually agreed with his point.

Shocker, someone who agrees with DeCamara is making the tired old Carson Wentz comparison? Color me surprised.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, not all of them are correct, nor good. And honestly, my issue here goes even beyond this. I just think the sports talk radio machine is super predictable and overplayed. I wouldn’t be surprised if half these hosts don’t even agree with some of the stuff they are saying over the air waves. I mean after all, it’s all about how much buzz and attention they can get on their respective show.

Here’s to hoping the future holds something better. Perhaps a space that’s truly worthy of Eagles fans’ passion and loyalty. Until then, we will keep chasing liberty here at TheLibertyLine, and giving you people our best efforts.
