WATCH: Freddie Mitchell reenacts Saquon Barkley’s legendary play at a Lowe’s

It’s safe to say Saquon Barkley’s reverse hurdle in the Eagles vs. Jaguars game has gone viral and will go down in NFL history as one of the greatest plays ever. It’s only a matter of time till we see video surface on the internet of other athletes at all levels try to recreate that play themselves.

Whether it’s another NFL player, a high school player, or even a kid from midget football; I don’t doubt this play will be reattempted countless times around the world. With that said, former Eagles receiver, Freddie Mitchell reenacted the play himself at a Lowe’s today, and I must say, it was quite entertaining.

After watching that how do we feel about the 45 year-old’s chances at playing WR 3 or even 4 on the Eagles right now? It’s not like the current options they have get very many targets, let alone contribute much to begin with. I’m sure Freddie Mitchell could fit in just fine in Kellen Moore’s offense. However, to be fair Jahan Dotson might have had the best catch I have ever seen from an Eagles third receiver in that game against the Jaguars.

Was that a glimpse of the untapped potential the young receiver has? Or was it simply a product of the magic that takes place once a plyer puts on the Kelly Green uniform? I’m not exactly sure, but I’m starting to believe those jerseys provide a Michael Jordan’s “secret stuff” effect like the water in Space Jam.

With that said, I’m thinking of trying my chances at this play this weekend. Whether it’s in my backyard or wherever I’m watching the Eagles play the Dallas Cowboys, be sure to be on the lookout on TheLibertyLine’s social media pages for that video.
