Tyreek Hill Yards Per Game

Weird: Tyreek Hill has posted only one 100+ yard game once this season- Week 1 after he was arrested

Tyreek Hill’s season has been nothing short of a headline machine, starting from his handcuffed pregame moment outside Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium in Week 1. Despite the wild start, Hill came out firing with 130 yards and a touchdown against Jacksonville. But since then? He hasn’t cracked 100 yards in a single game.

To make matters worse, Hill ended a seven-game touchdown drought with a modest 1-yard score against the Rams on Thursday Night Football.

In a season where he’s expected to make big plays, that stat line—three catches for 16 yards and 11 yards on the ground—is a far cry from the numbers we’re used to seeing from the 30-year-old speedster.

So, what’s up with Hill’s production falling off a cliff?

Blame it partly on Miami’s QB shuffle. With Tua Tagovailoa sidelined due to a concussion, Hill’s been catching passes from backup quarterbacks Skylar Thompson and Tyler Huntley.

Not exactly the recipe for another 1,700-yard season.

And while some elite receivers manage to perform no matter who’s throwing, it’s unrealistic to expect Hill to put up big numbers with a rotating cast under center.

I wouldn’t be a “true journalist” if I didn’t point out the fact that Hill hasn’t eclipsed 100 yards in a single game this season since he was arrested before Week 1.

Pretty odd right? You can look at that one of two ways: either the arrest had Hill locked in and ready to go-off against the Rams (ex. Handcuff Celly) or the arrested along with all the other issues the Miami Dolphins have dealt with season handcuffed (pun intended) his production from there on out.

Hill and the Dolphins are Running Out of Time:

The Miami Dolphins are 3-6 on the season and in second place in the AFC East, trailing the 8-2 Buffalo Bills. Is time running out? Well, yeah and now that Tua’s back, you’d think the Dolphins would be feeding Hill to make up for lost time.

But conservative coverages from opposing defenses and Miami’s offensive struggles haven’t made it easy. And just to add to his rollercoaster season, Hill injured his back celebrating a TD with Odell Beckham Jr., sidelining him at practice as the ‘Fins prepare for the Raiders on November 17th.
