Eagles Mic’d Up: Landon Dickerson is a total maniac on the field and has me ready to run through a wall

As Philadelphia Eagles fans, we are die-hards and consume every ounce of content/information surrounding our teams as possible. We are so obsessed that we care about every aspect of our athletes you could possibly imagine. Such as what they ate for breakfast, how they spend their free time, and what their personality type is.

What can get overlooked is the difference between the player in a public setting/press conference, compared to how they actually act on the field. One of the bext examples of this is how beloved the great Brian Dawkins was and how he essentially flipped a switch every time he crawled out like Wolverine onto the field. When you compare that to how calm and laid back he was with the media, it’s truly a night and day difference.

With that said, this current Eagles team isn’t hurting for personalities and outgoing players. So guys like Landon Dickerson for example, tend to get overlooked in regards to their personality. He’s always seemed like a pretty cool due that is a great teammate. But we recently got an inside look to how he behaves on the field, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The man is a total maniac on the field, and after watching this clip, I’m personally ready to run through a wall and go to war for this guy.

The other part here that made this so sick was the fact that it was obviously Dallas week in Jerry’s world, but this clip also started pregame where it appears Landon was delivering a message to the team. Normally I’d expect him to just be speaking to offensive lineman for example, but in this case you see guys like Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith for example. Which is a very telling sign if you ask me.

For one, Dickerson is more of a leader than we thought, but I think it also speaks to the makeup of this year’s Philadelphia Eagles. When I take a step back and really look at why this team is currently (7-2), my biggest takeaway is the toughness and edge this team plays with. I know it can be very cliche, but these guys clearly have the “Dawg Mentality” that head coach Nick Sirianni always preaches.

Say whatever you want about the head coach of the Eagles, but this team clearly loves him and his total alignment with his vision and message. Which, I would argue is the most important thing you could ever ask or want out of a head coach. Especially in the town of Philadelphia.
