Eagles announce two roster moves ahead of Week 12 matchup vs. Rams
Eagles WR/returner Britain Covey will officially return Sunday night against the Rams.
The team announced Covey’s activation on Saturday and removed his injury designation, making him available for Week 12.

The Eagles also elevated TE C.J. Uzomah from the practice squad.
Covey has been out of action since suffering a broken bone in his shoulder Week 3 vs. New Orleans. With DeVonta Smith ruled out due to a hamstring injury, Covey’s return is a welcome sight. He was essentially the Eagles’ third receiver for the first three weeks, catching seven passes for 34 yards.
Rookie DB Cooper DeJean filled in at punt returner during Covey’s absence, averaging 11.8 yards per return.
Nobody is more thrilled to see Covey back than Vic Fangio, who would rather not have his stout rookie corner taking unnecessary hits.
Q: Do you worry at all about DB Cooper DeJean returning punts? He has ended up being a big part of the defense. Do you worry about him being on the field for that when you need him defensively as much as you do?
FANGIO: Yes.
Q: How do you address that?
FANGIO: I don’t. NaVorro Bowman, going back to my San Francisco days, who was an All-Pro there for three straight years, he covered every punt for us for three straight years. And I didn’t like that, either. So, you’ve just got to deal with it.”
