MADNESS: Commanders vs Cowboys game ends in complete chaos as PFT Commenter leaves Barstool watch party
Let’s talk about this ridiculous Cowboys- Commanders game that somehow ended in a Dallas win.
As an Eagles fan, watching this dumpster fire felt like ordering some wings and accidentally getting extra sauce- oh so messy but oh so satisfying. One of those rare instances where I caught myself pulling for a Cowboys win. Only so my Birds can gain an even bigger lead at the top of the NFC East.
The Dallas Cowboys escaped with a 27-26 victory, but not without drama that can only be explained as NFC East chaos at its finest. Dallas had the game under control late in the fourth quarter after KaVontae Turpin pulled a rabbit out of his helmet with a 99-yard punt return for a touchdown. This put the Cowboys ahead 27-17 with under three minutes left in the game. As if this was not crazy enough, this was just the start of a completely insane finish to this divisional rival matchup.
Following this, Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels connected with Terry McLaurin for an 86-yard touchdown bomb in the last minute of the game. Just pure chaos. This put the Commanders down 1 just needing the extra point to convert to tie this game up. Unfortunately for Washington, their kicker, Austin Seibert, did his best Cody Parkey impression and shanked the extra point. I mean it wasn’t even close. Ball game. Somehow, the Cowboys survived and helped my Eagles out.
Commanders fan (PFT) reacts to insane ending
With Dallas just barely scraping this win out, they are still an absolute laughingstock. From our Eagles fan’s perspectives, this game only reinforces why we are still in firm control of the division and are coming for the NFC’s #1 seed.
