Report: Daniel Jones signs with NFC contender as postseason approaches

Jones will likely start off on Minnesota’s practice squad and serve as their backup once he’s acclimated.

Minnesota’s starter, Sam Darnold, has played relatively well this season, so I don’t envision Jones coming in and competing for the job. Nevertheless, he’s good enough to be a solid backup — which is exactly why Minnesota signed him I’m sure.

The best case scenario would have been Daniel Jones to Dallas just in time for the Giants and Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game. It would have at least made the game watchable.
