Shoutout to the Eagles fans from LA who gifted us tickets to watch the Birds destroy the Steelers in the Battle of Pennsylvania

Happy to report that Christmas officially came early last Sunday down at The Linc ahead of the Battle of Pennsylvania between our Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

If you’re a Birds fan, then you already know the deal. Sundays are for tailgating and Eagles football. There’s a ton of beer and thousands upon thousands of THE best fans in the world all heading to South Philadelphia to party their asses off ahead of whatever time kickoff is at The Linc.

Honestly, the majority of time that I head down to the parking lots of the South Philly sports Complex, it’s just to drink and walk around to different tailgates before getting out of there to watch the game at a bar or from the comfort of my own home.

Sunday was different.

Our cross-state rivals, the Steelers were in town. It was the Battle of Pennsylvania and an opportunity for the Eagles to extend their winning streak to 10-games and go undefeated this year against the AFC North against a very good Pittsburgh team.

Obviously, I wanted to buy tickets but my Caitlin Clark articles on The Liberty Line aren’t exactly paying the bills, ya know?

Still, up until the final moments before “decision time” I was debating whether or not it would be best just to get my ass into the building and cough up a hefty amount of cash to get tickets in the nosebleeds.

It also didn’t help that the most overrated place in the world, Xfinity Live! had lines the whole way to the Casino but regardless, as I sat there shotgunning Bud Lights with the rest of the Birds fans in the lots, I was approached by a couple from Los Angeles who just so happened to be holding two tickets up for grabs to the game.

Obviously, I was given an offer that I couldn’t refuse and just like that, Vic and myself were off with these two legends to watch the Birds dismantle the Steelers.

Out of respect (and maybe too many Bud Lights) I’m not going to name drop these two legends without their approval but I will say they were both diehard fans just like the rest of us.

Neither were even from Philly but fell in love with the Eagles in the early Donovan McNabb and Andy Reid days which I can definitely respect. It was also their first time at The Linc so watching them experience it for the first time was priceless.

I mean come on, it really doesn’t get any better than that, right? Lower bowl seats too?

I’m not even sure if these two were real or planted at a tailgate from one of the many UFOs drones flying around the Delaware Valley over the past month.

In all seriousness, this post was just a quick thank you to these Eagles fans that made my year. It’s already the best Christmas gift I’ve ever received and as we all know, the game was pure dominance from the Eagles and the vibe inside the sacred walls at The Linc was electric as usual.

Franchise record with 10 straight wins. A moment I’ll never forget. All thanks to Eagles fans being, well, Eagles fans. The best in the world. Cheers.
