Jake Paul calls out Conor McGregor after potential fight negotiations are released

If you thought the world of combat sports couldn’t get any more crazy, think again. On Tuesday, Jake Paul blew up social media by hinting at a potential boxing match between his brother, Logan Paul, and the notorious Conor McGregor.

On Tuesday, McGregor said he had agreed to fight Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. All the rumors about McGregor facing UFC featherweight Illia Topurai are false; instead, he has his eyes on Logan Paul.

Here is what Conor McGregor had to say on X

Jake Paul then responded to McGregor claiming that he had an agreement to fight Logan.

“Now it all makes sense why Conor McGregor and his management team have been desperately trying to get MVP to negotiate for a fight between us,” Jake Paul wrote.

Jake Paul also ruled out facing McGregor himself unless UFC President Dana White gives the fight the green light. McGregor is under contract with the promotion while Jake Paul is under contract with a rival in the PFL.

“As we told them privately & I’m now saying it publicly…the only way we’re willing to explore me vs Conor in a pro boxing / MMA fight is if Dana White / UFC are at the table directly or make it clear they are ok with discussions.

“Conor is washed. Needs the Paul’s. Logan by however he wants.”

Well color me surprised. That sure is a lot of tough talk from a guy who only picks fights against retired legends 20 years, past their prime now isn’t it?

Trust me, I am not saying I don’t think Jake Paul is talented, but there are levels to this.

  • McGregor is now 36 years old and has not fought an MMA match since 2021.
  • Dustin Poirier has defeated him in each of the last two fights.
  • McGregor has only fought one time in the boxing world.
  • That took place in 2017 in an absolute snooze-fest against Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Logan Paul, who has mostly focused on his WWE career recently with a few boxing fights to spare, hasn’t made any comments publicly regarding the announcement.
