Eagles News: Six players named to 2025 Pro Bowl, including three first-timers
The NFL has officially announced the initial rosters for the 2025 Pro Bowl Games.
Six players were named to represent the Eagles this year:
- OT Lane Johnson — 6th Pro Bowl
- RB Saquon Barkley — 3rd Pro Bowl
- OG Landon Dickerson — 3rd Pro Bowl
- DT Jalen Carter — 1st Pro Bowl
- LB Zack Baun — 1st Pro Bowl
- C Cam Jurgens — 1st Pro Bowl
Lane Johnson adds a sixth Pro Bowl nod to his Hall of Fame resume, earning the honors from 2017-19 and 2022-24. Even at age 34, Johnson remains elite at his position.
Saquon Barkley put together a historic first season in Philadelphia. He became just the ninth player ever to surpass 2,000 rushing yards and added 278 yards through the air.
The Eagles will be resting their starters in the season finale, so Barkley won’t have a chance to break the single-season rushing record, but he’ll be well-rested for Philadelphia’s playoff run.
When LB Zack Baun signed with the Eagles last offseason, he was projected as a situational edge-rusher. Fast forward ten months and Vic Fangio has shaped Baun into a Pro Bowl linebacker.
Baun has racked up 151 tackles, five QB hits, 3.5 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, five forced fumbles, and four pass breakups this season.
“It’s a big accomplishment, a huge accomplishment. I just looked back and felt like I was where I was supposed to be at this point in my career,” Baun said.
“I feel like you don’t look at goals all of the time, or the milestones or those accomplishments. I was just focusing on the work and knew it would come.”
Landon Dickerson earned his third consecutive Pro Bowl nod this year, tying Brandon Brooks for most in team history at the guard position.
After Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox retired last year, their successors had big shoes to fill. Cam Jurgens and Jalen Carter embraced the pressure and became Pro Bowlers the very next year.
Carter has played in 84% of the defensive snaps this year, recording 42 tackles (12 for loss), 4.5 sacks, 16 QB hits, five pass deflections, and two forced fumbles.
Despite losing Kelce, the Eagles have essentially seen zero drop-off in the run game with Jurgens in place.
