WATCH: Eagles gift Gillie a Gold ‘Blow The Whistle’ Chain following win over the Packers
The die hard Eagles fan himself, Gillie Da Kid, had the opportunity to run out with the team this past Sunday against the Green Bay Packers I must admit, even for the man himself, I’m sure it was surreal and a total bucket list moment.
Eagles take the field with Gillie ahead of Packers game:
For those of you unfamiliar with the culture, don’t worry, I got you covered.
Gillie Da Kid, whose real name is Nasir Fard, is a Philadelphia rap legend and media personality who rose to fame in the early 2000s.
He initially made waves as part of the hip-hop group Major Figgas before going solo and since then, he’s expanded his influence through comedy, viral social media skits, and his wildly popular podcast, Million Dollaz Worth of Game, which he co-hosts with his cousin Wallo on the Barstool Sports platform.
Obviously being from Philly, he’s a diehard sports fan and has become a locker room regular at sporting events, lately with the Eagles and in the past, with the Philadelphia 76ers. Now, he has obviously made a name for himself most recently for his (hilarious) Eagles videos on social media and most notably, dancing with random neighbors after Eagles wins.
Gillie has made it a routine after every Eagles win this season to dance with his friend (I don’t know his name), who wears an Eagle costume, while “Blow The Whistle” by Too $hort is playing in the background.

Eagles take care of their own, gift Gillie a gold ‘Blow the Whistle’ chain
Good stuff from the Eagles. It’s always important to understand what’s happening on social media these days and like I said above, Gillie has been all over the internet with his viral Eagles videos. This chain acknowledges that and is the ultimate way to show some love to one of the city’s icons.
Not bad for a organization and fanbase that is constantly a target for being “bad people”, huh?
