Eagles Authentic Game Snow

The Eagles are selling ‘authentic game snow’ from last Sunday’s divisional round game against the Rams

The Philadelphia Eagles have found a way to turn the snow from their Divisional Round victory over the Los Angeles Rams into cold, hard cash. Literally. The team is selling “authentic game snow” collected from the field, packaged in insulated containers with dry ice and detailed care instructions, for the die-hard fans who need a little piece of history in their freezer.

Shoutout to the Eagles for a WILD flex of capitalism

It’s one thing to sell game-worn jerseys or even a bottle of grass clippings (meh), but snow? The Eagles clearly saw an opportunity to cash in on some nostalgia—and, apparently, there’s a market for it. Props to the marketing team for figuring that out.

But here’s where they might’ve missed the mark: $50 for a carton of snow? That’s a tough pill to swallow, even for the most loyal fans. Don’t get me wrong, Eagles fans will buy almost anything with the logo slapped on it, but why not simplify the whole operation?

  • Dimebags of snow with an Eagles logo on the front.
  • Offer grass in the same packaging.
  • Sell them at tailgates, merch stands, or even online.
  • Bonus points if the bags are green.

Eagles fans would purchase those bags faster than a Saquon Barkley touchdown run, right? At the very least, they’d get a few drunk people thinking they were purchasing something other than a little bag of snow or just regular “grass”.

Look, if you’re the kind of fan who needs actual snow from that epic playoff game to complete your Eagles shrine, more power to you. But for $50, you could probably get an authentic jersey patch or a legit piece of memorabilia. At the end of the day, this is just frozen water that’s eventually going to melt, no matter how many “detailed care instructions” you follow.

Still, you’ve got to give the Eagles credit for turning snow into a revenue stream. It’s peak Philly Hustle—find a way to monetize everything.

Checking out the website, the Eagles also partnered up to sell grass clippings from every game? Absolutely ridiculous but again, I get it. Once you have one game, you really need every game and a “spice shelf” to display each and every one. The idea makes sense but I’ll pass.

Are you buying this piece of history? Or are you just waiting for someone to inevitably list their own snow-filled dimebag on eBay for double the price? Either way, the Birds are proving that even a snowstorm can be a financial win. Go Birds.
