Eagles fans driver car crash

Yikes: A driver crashed into Eagles fans celebrating at Broad and Spring Garden last night

A celebration turned chaotic on North Broad Street Sunday night after the Eagles’ NFC Championship win, when a driver plowed into a crowd of people near Spring Garden Street.

According to NBC10, police say the driver struck a group of fans around 9:30 p.m. Witnesses told reporters the incident may have been sparked by an argument before the driver accelerated into the crowd. Some accounts suggest the car hit at least 10 people, with others claiming it may have been as many as 30.

Multiple injuries have been reported, and several people were taken to the hospital. There’s no word yet on how severe those injuries are. Police made an arrest at the scene, but details about the driver or charges haven’t been released.

This is a stark reminder to keep celebrations safe and under control. Philly fans know how to party, but nobody should have to deal with something like this during what should have been a great night. Here’s hoping everyone involved recovers quickly, and justice is served.
