The Philadelphia Police Department reported that the collision did not appear to be intentional. A driver has been taken into custody, and the investigation is ongoing. Thankfully, none of the injured victims sustained life-threatening injuries, according to initial news reports citing the police.

The incident unfolded as large crowds poured out of Lincoln Financial Field, celebrating the Birds’ triumphant return to the Super Bowl stage. With their commanding performance against Washington, Philadelphia earned the right to face the reigning two-time Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, scheduled for February 9 in New Orleans.
