Lane Johnson vows to return to Eagles next season, regardless of Super Bowl outcome
Heading into Super Bowl week, there were whispers about a possible Lane Johnson retirement if the Eagles defeat the Kansas City Chiefs.
Luckily for Eagles fans, those were just rumors. When speaking with the media on Saturday, Lane Johnson vowed to return next season, regardless of what happens on Super Bowl Sunday.
Lane Johnson isn’t going anywhere

That’s about as definitive as it gets. Lane ain’t going anywhere.
The Eagles have done an amazing job replacing franchise legends lately. Last offseason, both Fletcher Cox and Jason Kelce retired, only for their replacements, Jalen Carter and Cam Jurgens, to put together All-Pro seasons.
While the team has done great with their homegrown talent, this isn’t something they want to make a yearly tradition, I’m sure. Aside from Lane Johnson, Brandon Graham said before this year that 2024 would be his final season. Since he missed most of the year, that may have changed. But if the team hoists the Lombardi Trophy with BG in the lineup, I imagine he’ll hang up the cleats.
Only time will tell. I’m just thankful Lane will come back for at least one more rodeo next year.
