49ers WR Deebo Samuel shows up to Super Bowl LIX wearing an AJ Brown jersey

As the old adage goes: if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.

49ers WR Deebo Samuel has said some distasteful things about the Philadelphia Eagles in the past, but it seems he’ll be rooting for them in this year’s Super Bowl.

Samuel stated last week on his podcast that he would like to see the Eagles defeat the Chiefs this weekend in Super Bowl LIX. One week later, Samuel pulled up to Radio Row donning a Kelly Green AJ Brown jersey.

Deebo has been a source of drama over the last few seasons for Philadelphia, dating back to the 2022 NFC Championship Game where the Eagles defeated the 49ers 31-7.

AJ Brown has always spoken highly of Samuel, however, referring to their friendship and stating it’s only spirited banter between players.

The 49ers dealt with numerous injuries this season and missed the playoffs while the Eagles look to capture another championship.

Brown and the Eagles have bragging rights as of now.
