AJ Brown is fully healthy and the Kansas City Chiefs should be worried heading into Sunday
If you watched the Eagles’ first two playoff games and thought, Man, AJ Brown just doesn’t look right, congratulations—you have functioning eyeballs. It was obvious something was off. He wasn’t moving like the same dude who had been trucking corners and roasting secondaries all season.
The stats backed it up:
- Snow Bowl II vs. Green Bay: 2 catches, 14 yards, multiple uncharacteristic drops
- Divisional Round vs. Rams: Practically invisible
Then came the NFC Championship Game, and suddenly, Brown looked like himself again:
- 6 catches, 96 yards, 1 TD
- Explosive routes, crisp breaks, and zero hesitation
Down in New Orleans, AJ Brown made it clear that he’s back and healthy heading into Sunday’s Super Bowl matchup against the Chiefs.
AJ Brown healthy for Super Bowl LIX:
“Honestly, I was hurt. Last game, I got healthy. And you all saw it. I’m ready to go.”
Just in time for the biggest game of the year. Gotta love that, right?
Stating The Obvious: What a Fully Healthy AJ Brown Means for the Super Bowl
When Brown isn’t 100%, he’s still a problem. But when he is? Good luck. Last time the Eagles faced the Chiefs in Arrowhead, Brown had just one catch for eight yards.
But let’s not forget his performance in Super Bowl 57:
- 6 catches, 96 yards, 1 TD
- That absurd, over-the-shoulder TD catch that made Chiefs fans sweat
Along with AJ Brown being healthy, the Eagles’ offense is even more dangerous than before…
DeVonta Smith has torched the Chiefs. In three games against Chiefs’ DC Steve Spagnuolo’s defense, Smitty has consistently torched him.
- 7 REC – 122 YDS
- 7 REC – 100 YDS
- 6 REC – 99 YDS
When take a healthy Smitty and Brown and pair them with a healthy Dallas Goedert, then good luck stopping the Eagles offense, right? On top of those three, you mix in Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts’ ability to beat you in the ground attack and the Chiefs defense should be in for a long night.
Stack the box? One-on-one matchups for Brown and Smith. Double the receivers? Goedert and Barkley will feast underneath while Jalen Hurts makes plays in and out of the pocket.
No Excuses—Time to Handle Business
This is exactly why Brown was brought to Philly—to be the alpha, the guy who makes big plays in big games. Two weeks ago, Brown told us he wasn’t himself. Now? He’s ready. The Eagles’ offense is ready. And the Chiefs better be game planning to try something…anything to stop them.
