Mekhi Becton Is on Full Demon Time Ahead of Eagles Super Bowl Parade—Flexes Don Julio in Locker Room Cleanout
Eagles fans, we all know what’s about to go down. The confetti hasn’t even settled, but the city is already gearing up for yet another Super Bowl parade down Broad Street. And guess what? Mekhi Becton just put it into words better than anyone. How cool is that for a guy who literally just joined the team this past year?
As for Friday’s parade? It’s gonna be legendary. The Eagles are ready to give Philly another unforgettable celebration. But before the party kicks off, Thursday was all about Locker Room Cleanout Day at the NovaCare Complex. One last time for this championship squad to soak it all in together. And yeah, you could see it—these guys are still running on fumes after an insane past few days.

I honestly can’t blame them either. The pressure and adversity they’ve faced since losing to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl several years ago was unimaginable. I mean, it took a toll on us fans, so I can’t imagine being in these players shoes.
Which is exactly why tomorrow’s Eagles Super Bowl parade is going to be a day we will all never forget.

“I’m about to be drunker than I’ve ever been.” A quote that has come out of every single Birds fans mouths since this past Sunday. Shoutout to Becton for preaching to the choir.
Mekhi Becton Took the Hard Road to Philly—and It Paid Off
I gotta be honest… Mekhi Becton has quietly become one of my favorite players on this squad. The dude has been through it, and somehow, he’s come out on the other side better than ever.
Think about it. The Jets took him 11th overall in the 2020 Draft, expecting him to be their franchise left tackle. And early on? He looked like a stud. But then the injuries hit. His knee gave him problems, and before you knew it, he had played one game in two years. That’s the kind of thing that buries most careers.
But Becton? He wasn’t going out like that. Last offseason, he bet on himself, took a one-year deal with the Eagles, and came to Philly to work under Jeff Stoutland—one of the best in the business. The plan was for him to be a backup swing tackle, but that didn’t last long. He slid inside to guard during offseason workouts, locked in, and by training camp, the job was his.
Now, here he is, a Super Bowl champion with the Eagles. And when he looks back on this season, he says he’s grown a lot, not just as a player but as a teammate. Says he hasn’t felt this connected to a team since high school or college.
Man… that’s what this city does to you. It makes you part of something bigger. Becton bought in, put in the work, and now he’s got a ring to show for it. Hell of a story.
Let’s all hope Howie Roseman can work his magic offseason to bring him back so that we can solidify this Avengers of an offensive line for the foreseeable future. For the time being though, let’s keep celebrating this Super Bowl victory.
For those attending the parade tomorrow like myself, stay safe, and enjoy yourselves. We’ve all earned this one. Fly Eagles Fly.
