Team USA started the 4 Nations Tournament off by handing the Canadian team a good ol’ fashioned beatdown after our neighbors to north yet again, decided to foolishly boo the National Anthem.

Canada is lucky they only got their asses kicked on the ice. Because after hearing these dorks to our north boo the Star Spangled Banner yet again, I’d say there are plenty of Americans who would love to hand out a few beatdowns themselves.

Thankfully, Team USA didn’t need any help from Americans in the stands. The second the puck dropped, Matthew Tkachuk went straight for Brandon Hagel’s throat. No hesitation. No nonsense. Just fists flying.

At some point, you’d think Canada would learn. They do this every time. They boo the anthem, they act like it’s some superior hockey country, and then they get their heads caved in when it actually matters. These aren’t the days of Gretzky and Messier anymore. Canada is out here getting folded like a cheap tent, and they brought it all on themselves.

You boo our anthem, you get your ass beat. Simple.

I don’t want to overreact, but this was the best thing to happen to hockey in decades. No more fake All-Star Games. No more “friendly” matchups. This is what the sport needs. Real bad blood. Real rivalries. Real violence.
