Report: Eagles promote from within to fill offensive coordinator position

The Philadelphia Eagles are turning to familiar faces to fill key roles on their coaching staff.

The team announced on Wednesday that Kevin Patullo, previously the pass game coordinator and associate head coach, has been promoted to offensive coordinator under head coach Nick Sirianni.

To take over Patullo’s former responsibilities, the Eagles are set to bring in Parks Frazier as their new pass game coordinator, according to NFL Media.

Patullo was widely expected to step into this role following the Eagles’ Super Bowl LIX victory over the Kansas City Chiefs and the subsequent departure of Kellen Moore, who left to become the head coach of the New Orleans Saints.

A member of the Eagles’ staff since 2021, Patullo arrived when Nick Sirianni was hired as head coach. Their professional history dates back to their time in Indianapolis, where Sirianni served as offensive coordinator and Patullo worked as a wide receivers coach and pass game specialist.

In 2023, Patullo’s influence within the organization grew further when he was given the title of associate head coach.

Patullo’s NFL coaching career began in 2007 with the Chiefs, where he worked as an offensive assistant and quality control coach. Over the years, he gained experience with the Buffalo Bills, Tennessee Titans, and New York Jets before joining the Colts.

Now stepping into the offensive coordinator role, Patullo inherits a dynamic Eagles offense fresh off a championship season. The unit, led by Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, and star wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, ranked in the league’s top 10 in total yards and points in 2024.

Patullo, who will be Hurts’ fifth offensive coordinator since he entered the league in 2020, will call plays on offense next season.
