PFF crowns Jordan Mailata as the NFL’s Best Offensive Player in 2024
While Saquon Barkley might have grabbed most of the headlines in Philly’s offense, it turns out that Jordan Mailata had the most dominant season of any Eagle—and the entire NFL.
According to Pro Football Focus (PFF), Mailata’s 95.1 overall grade made him the highest-graded offensive player in the league.

Yeah, you read that right. Not just the best lineman—the best offensive player, period.
How Good Was Jordan Mailata’s Season?
PFF’s breakdown puts it into perspective:
- Mailata’s 95.1 grade is the highest for any offensive player in 2024.
- It’s also the second-best grade ever given to an offensive lineman in PFF history (dating back to 2006)—trailing only Trent Williams’ 96.6 in 2021.
That’s elite company.
Despite missing four games with a hamstring injury, Mailata still logged over 1,000 snaps including the playoffs, allowing just three sacks and 23 hurries while committing only nine penalties in 16 games.
Jordan Mailata’s Domination Earns Him Another Honor
On top of being PFF’s top offensive player, Mailata was also recognized by Pro Football Stuff (PFS) as the best player in the league wearing No. 68—one of eight Eagles to earn that distinction.

The Eagles’ “Great Eight” by jersey number:
- #26 – Saquon Barkley
- #27 – Quinyon Mitchell
- #33 – Cooper DeJean
- #53 – Zack Baun
- #65 – Lane Johnson
- #68 – Jordan Mailata
- #69 – Landon Dickerson
- #98 – Jalen Carter
Having eight Eagles named as the best in the league at their number is wild, considering there are 100 numbers and 32 teams. If nothing else, it shows just how stacked this roster is, especially on the offensive and defensive lines.
Eagles Who Lost Out—Fair or Snubbed?
- #1 – Jalen Hurts lost to Jamar Chase
Understandable, even if Chase has the stats and Hurts has the hardware. - #6 – DeVonta Smith lost to Baker Mayfield
What? Love Baker, but this feels like a total fantasy football-driven choice. - #11 – A.J. Brown lost to Micah Parsons
Classic Cowboys move—winning in meaningless categories.
Personally, I don’t think any of the players that beat out our guys are “better” but I do know that we Hurts, Smitty, and AJ Brown have the rings while the others are still chasing them.
Jordan Mailata’s Rise Continues
The former rugby player turned elite left tackle is still getting better, and the fact that he was graded higher than every skill player in the league says all you need to know about his impact.
If 2024 was any indication, he might just be the best left tackle in football for years to come.
