Saquon Barkley officially filed a trademark for “Shayshawn Barkley” today, marking the latest addition to addition to what is quickly becoming an empire in personal branding. 

What started as a random Washington fan’s verbal misfire has now turned into a brand, a movement, and an inside joke that Philly has fully embraced.

How “Shayshawn Barkley” Became a Thing

Let’s rewind to the NFC Championship Game. Barkley torched the Commanders for 118 yards and three touchdowns, including a 60-yard house call on the Eagles’ first offensive play.
