Jalen Hurts delivers a cold statement at Nike HQ – Jordan Brand’s new face

Jalen Hurts is just different. Days after being spotted having dinner and sharing a cigar with none other than Michael Jordan, a new video dropped of Hurts pulling up to Nike’s world headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.

Let’s call it what it is—Hurts isn’t just the face of the Eagles anymore. He’s the face of Jordan Brand and more importantly, the true face of the National Football League.

And if there was ever any doubt about whether he was built for the spotlight, that’s gone now. The man rolled into Super Bowl LIX rocking a pair of Air Jordan Retro High ’85 ‘Bred Banned’ cleats, a perfect nod to MJ’s original rebellion against the NBA.

Then, after winning Super Bowl LIX MVP, Hurts turned around and headlined Jordan Brand’s Love, Hurts campaign, proving he’s more than just a quarterback—he’s a cultural icon.

Two GOATS: Jalen Hurts and Michael Jordan spotted at dinner >>

One is my favorite athlete of all time. The other is my favorite athlete right now. Seeing them together? Doesn’t get much better than that.

Hurts is entering that rare air—the one reserved for legends. The Eagles have their undisputed leader, and Jordan Brand has its newest icon.

“I hear the MVP chants, but you got to put champ after that now.” – Doesn’t get any colder than that does it?

If there’s one thing Jalen Hurts has made clear since landing in Philly, it’s that he’s willing to do whatever it takes to win. I think we’re all in agreement that there’s no better way to learn that from going to the ultimate competitor himself, Michael Jordan.

That relentless mindset was on full display in Super Bowl LIX, where Hurts put up a masterclass in efficiency—going 17-of-22 for 221 yards, two touchdowns, and a 119.7 passer rating. Hurts led the Eagles on the ground too, setting a Super Bowl record for a quarterback with 11 carries for 72 yards and a rushing touchdown.

What made the performance all that much better was the fact that Jalen was under heavy scrutiny for much of the season for his ability to pass the ball at a high enough level that would ultimately lead to a championship.

And what did he do? Well, he played his best ball when the lights were the brightest.

Sound familiar?

What I can’t get over is the fact that Jalen Hurts is only 26 years old, and this feels like just the beginning of a championship run for both him and the Eagles. Sitting down with Michael Jordan of all people has to make the haters absolutely sick- and the best part is that none of it was manufactured.

What do I mean by that?

Well, for some bizarre reason, there’s a group of people out there who think Hurts is “cringe” for carrying himself like MJ—like he’s forcing the whole ultra-competitive, locked-in, killer mentality.

Here’s the reality: that’s just who he is.

Always has been. Now, he’s the face of Jordan Brand, fresh off winning the Super Bowl and taking home MVP honors.
