Eagles sign Lane Johnson to one-year contract extension through 2027
Howie Roseman and his Philadelphia Eagles were busy on Monday.
First, they signed 24-year-old pass rusher Azeez OJulari to a one-year deal. Then, they re-signed one of their own, extending future Hall of Fame tackle Lane Johnson through 2027.

The re-worked contract will see Johnson make an additional $8M over the next two years, including an additional $30M in guaranteed money. He’ll now earn $48M over the next two years in total.
For obvious reasons, this was a no-brainer for the Eagles. While they’ve been hesitant to extend certain players with expiring contracts (i.e. Milton Williams, Josh Sweat, etc.), they’ve never shied away from retaining franchise legends — even when they;re at the end of their careers.
Lane Johnson will be an all-time Eagle and is arguably the best right tackle to play the sport. Pay him whatever it takes to ensure he retires in Philadelphia.
